Atlas launches LRO and LCROSS

A robotic scout to reconnoiter the Moon like never before and a sleuth that will dig into a tantalizing mystery at the lunar south pole blasted off at 5:32 p.m. EDT June 18 aboard an Atlas 5 rocket from Cape Canaveral.
